The ACM International Conference on Interactive Experiences for Television and Online Video (TVX 2019) has taken place in Manchester/UK this year and once more brought together researchers and industry representatives. The impressive Lowry Theatre and the BBC provided an appropriate frame for the contents of the 3-day event. Rene Kaiser from the research area Data-Driven Business had supported the organisation of the conference already beforehand in the role of Publicity Chair.
At the International Workshop on Data-driven Personalisation of Television (DataTV 2019) which was held at the conference, Rene Kaiser from the Data-Driven Business research area of the Know-Center further had the opportunity to present the Virtual Director concept for adaptation and personalization of live video streams. The workshop allowed to discuss it with the research community as well as interested representatives of the media industry.
