The Arbeitsgemeinschaft Datenverarbeitung (ADV) is a non-profit, neutral and objective information platform providing ADV members as well as the public with information about the ideal application of information and communication technology in all scales. Congresses, seminars, talks etc. as well as task forces offer the opportunity for highly qualified exchange of ideas about cutting-edge developments. The ADV developed their competence by active participation in the development of information processing for the past decades as well as by regular cooperation with national and international representations of interests with similar objectives.

The Big Data Value Association (BDVA) is a fully self-financed, non-profit organization under Belgian law and shall present an industry-led contractual counterpart to the European Commission for the implementation of the Big Data Value PPP cPPP. The objectives of the Association are to boost European Big Data Value research, development and innovation and to foster a positive perception of Big Data Value. Among others, they follow aims like improving industrial competitiveness of European Big Data Value research and innovation, strengthening networking activities of the European Big Data Value community, contributing to policy development, education and addressing ethical, legal and societal issues.

The Leibniz Research Alliance Science 2.0 is an interdisciplinary alliance of German, Austrian and Swiss research institutions under the coordination of ZBW. In its work, the Research Alliance links the world of science with the world of research infrastructures and focusses on the research priorities “new working habits”, “technological development” and “user behavior”. The aim is to develop new technologies for infrastructures based on detailed research findings about the changing working habits of scientists due to the manifold Web 2.0 applications. With its activities, the research oriented alliance – a combination of infrastructure facilities and research institutes of different disciplines which is unique in Europe – builds up a network of those stakeholders who are decisively influenced by Science 2.0.
