Sebastian Dennerlein presents a paper and organizes a BarCamp at the annual conference of the Association for Medical Education in Europe AMEE 2016.

The Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) is a worldwide organization and promotes international excellence in education in healthcare professions.  Their annual conference provides a networking opportunity for teachers, researchers, students and everyone else involved in medical and healthcare professions education. This year’s conference takes place 27th to 31st August 2016 in Barcelona, Spain.

Sebastian Dennerlein, Deputy Head of Know-Center’s Social Computing Team, organizes together with some international colleagues a half-day BarCamp at AMEE 2016. The BarCamp will be about “Informal Learning and Technology”, but according to this informal format final agenda and activities are democratically decided there and then.

The Know-Center will also be represented at the conference in a Short Communications session with the paper “The role of collaboration and shared understanding in interprofessional teamwork”, authored by Sebastian Dennerlein, Elisabeth Lex and others. This paper investigates the interplay of teamworking-practice and technology in the form of a case study involving health care professionals.

Both the BarCamp theme and the paper subject originate from the EU project Learning Layers.
